It is an application software development. It is broken into stages and begins with system specs. The steps are these:
Problem analysis
Program design
Program coding
Program debugging and testing
Program implementation and maintenance
Each step is required but I feel that they should be monitored by others to reduce the possibility of a "spaghetti" string type if the programmer works for a large company. If not, the programmer should be free to write whichever code and form he/she chooses.
