Question:
Runtime Error "Server Error in '/' Application"?
2009-07-08 22:45:46 UTC
I want to login to wallstreetsurvivor.com, but i keep getting this error:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

Can someone please tell me a simple way to fix it so any computer illiterate person can do it, TY

You CAN'T fix this error. This error is not from your side. It is called Application Error, which is an error in the Application itself (website).

And the message you are getting should not show to you as a client ! this is for the developer of the website .. u should get a nice message like "Load Error" or something, but I guess the developer of the website forgot to turn this option on ! :)

Send an e-mail to the company and tell them about this error so they can fix it. As for you, again, you can't do anything about it

I am assuming this is not your web site. If it is, then you need to turn those errors off so the client does not see them. Do as instructed by the error message.

If this is not your web site, then I suggest you try to contact these people and let them know this error is occurring.
