Question:
What are some bad virus scripts? or any other computer scripts?

My dad has a bunch of computers at work that need to be sent off to be dismantled (read: smashed to bits), and before we send them off to their final destination, I am allowed to, erm, 'put them out of their misery'. Basically I can put a load of "virus"-type scripts on them. We want to see these things at work; to see what effect these scripts have without actually needing to worry about the consequences (the computers are doomed to destruction anyways).

So what are the best (or, more appropriately, 'worst') viruses in existence? *****I DO NOT WANT LINKS TO DOWNLOADS OF THESE VIRUSES.***** I just want specific info like names, or youtube videos of the scripts, or whatever. Any such info. I don't want to risk getting a virus on my own laptop. Or, if you don't trust me with them (heh, no, I don't plan on being a notorious virus-writer), what 'fun' scripts are there to plug onto a computer? (even as little as 'open CD tray'.)

(And I assure you, before you start criticising, we're just killing off the individual computers. We don't want it to spread outside of these ones -- I will be making sure of this by doing the scripting myself; I know how to do scripting (although I've never actually tried anything 'big' like this before, and hope never to do so again after this), and I just want a little inspiration.)

Just run a torrent program and download lots of "free" music and/or videos. You're bound to download lots of viruses too. (Torrents are the single largest virus vector there is.)

No one is going to put virus scripts on websites for download (that's the fastest way of losing your internet account, and being visited by people whose badges have "DHS" on them.) It's not a matter of trust, it's a matter of yelling "fire" in a crowded theater. You may not let them escape, but there are sick people out there - who will look for ways to make them spread as rapidly as possible. Some arsonists just like to watch the fire, and some people just like to watch the internet crash.

Look into VBS (Visual Basic Scripting) if you want to write scripts. You can destroy a computer with VBS.

Even a simple batch file to format a drive without echo and without asking can be devastating. Or a script to delete all files and folders (almost trivial in VBS).

A computer script is a list of commands that are executed by a certain program or scripting engine. Scripts may be used to automate processes on a local computer or to generate Web pages on the Web. For example, DOS scripts and VB Scripts may be used to run processes on Windows machines, while AppleScript scripts can automate tasks on Macintosh computers. ASP, JSP, and PHP scripts are often run on Web servers to generate dynamic Web page content.

Script files are usually just text documents that contain instructions written in a certain scripting language. This means most scripts can be opened and edited using a basic text editor. However, when opened by the appropriate scripting engine, the commands within the script are executed. VB (Visual Basic) scripts, for example, will run when double-clicked, using Windows' built-in VB scripting support. Since VB scripts can access and modify local files, you should never run a VB script that you receive as an unknown e-mail attachment.
