I\m trying to make a website... not just one where you read things and stuff... more like a club penguin- panfu type thing...
I really want to make one, but I don't know how. Can any of you tell me how, or give me a link to a website that tells you how to make those kind of websites?
Thanks in advance =)

I joined this place called Homeschoolblogger, you don't have to pay, and you don't have to be homeschooled to join it. You have a password and a username and you can give people the password and user when they wnat to join this club. I hope this helps. Oh if you do join Homeschoolblogger let me know.

I would give this website a try: http://www.mrsite.com/website_beginner.asp This is £19.99 but includes all the hosting and a web address that you can specify ending .com. There are a few free sites but you would usually have a long web address.

The MR Site basic software allows upto 5 email addresses, 5 pages and up to 75mb of data. It's easy to use and a good price considering a domain name (web address) is usually about £15 for a year or two. If you want something a bit more complicated, you could go down the dreamweaver route but its complicated to use if you have never used it before and doesn't include the domain name or any storage.

Hope this answers your question,

Thank you,

Daniel.

Club penguin is far more than a web site. It's actually a large corporation backed by an even larger corporation with dozens of full-time experienced programmers creating the user experience.

It's a good goal, but maybe not for your first project. Learn basic web development first (The kind of pages you simply read.) Learn HTML or XHTML and CSS, and then extend to interactive languages like JavaScript and PHP.

You don't need to purchase anything at all to get started in web development. You already have everything you need - a text editor and a web browser. You can even get a decent online site for free (I like Freehostia: http://www.freehostia.com )

Much of the work done in these interactive sites is done in full-blown programming environments like Flash and Java, so eventually you'll need to learn one of these languages.

Best of luck to you...
