Here is my solution to the problem you have. Follow this exactly and it should be normal.

1.Go to HOME.

2. You should see a FONT section under HOME.

3. You should see an arrow in the very left-hand area of the FONT section.

4. Click it

5. A dialog should appear.

6. Go to the " Text Effects" button at the bottom of the dialog box

7. Then you should see another dialog box.

8. Go to glow and soft edges.

9. Click Presets

10. Adjust as needed

According to Microsoft's online help for Word 2007:

"The feature that animated text, which you may have used in prior Word versions, is not available in Word 2007. However, you can preserve animation created in an earlier document within Word 2007."

In other words, there isn't any way to turn it either on or off in Word 2007, but it will appear correctly when a Word .doc document is edited in Compatibility Mode in Word 2007. You'd have to edit the document in Word 2002 or 2003 and turn it off there. Yuck!

Here's how there:

In Word 2002 or 2003:

1. Select text to be deanimated.

2. Right-click in the selection and select Font.

3. Click the Text Effects tab.

4. Select None in the list box.

5. Click OK.

Hope that helps.

Sorry.

This is a good question, and one that confused me for quite a long time.
