I am new to HTML and am having a problem with the formatting. See below for my source code. After the UL the H2 heading is not formatting correctly in IE or Firefox. It is indented almost like it is a part of the list, but does not have the circle bullet like the other list items. I do not want it to be a part of the list, I want it to be a level 2 heading that is aligned to the left. I have tried using an align left tag, but the formatting does not change. I tried removing the list altogether to see if the problem was the list or the H2 heading and it appears to be the list that is causing the problem. Why is the H2 heading appearing as part of the list when I used the tag?

it relatively is done with CSS. it is no longer extremely stylish, yet once you restoration the table format, turn off be conscious wrap, and then conceal the overflow, you are able to fill the "merchandise" column with a huge quantity of dots. The dots will save going till the top of the column and previous, yet basically the dots interior the column would be displayed on the internet site. There are reward and drawbacks while in comparison with the repeating historic past image answer. the main substantial benefit is which you do not have dots appearing below the products on your checklist. the main substantial disadvantage is that it will no longer paintings if any merchandise is see you later that it demands wrapping onto a 2d line. below is a stripped down piece of code illustrating the assumption. edit: Yahoo decrease off area of the code. fastened. =====code===== tr
merchandise ......... (positioned an excellent style of dots right here, sufficient to fill an entire line) .................. /td status /td tr /table

It's happening because the h2 is within a
tag. You open two ul tags but only close one before you get to the h2.
