All laserjets speak Postscript



it will be a handler for a Virtual printer such as CutePDF

hundreds of other PDF utilities and virtual printers are available from

all sorts of suppliers, cutepdf is just the one i use.



so in your printers you will have a virtual printer that uses the GhostScript

to produce Files instead of actual sending prints to a real printer.



in other words it allows programs to produce PDF files



removing or uninstalling it will prevent the PDF utility from working
