hmmm... well you could go to freewebs.com, but your website always starts with freewebs.com/(your username here). if you want to take that off, and turn it into a .com site, then you need to pay for that. otherwise I don't think that there is a way to have it COMPLETELEY free.

If you have an Intel PC and broadband, the easiest way is to install a Linux distribution (like Ubuntu) on the PC. That way you can load what's called a "LAMP" stack on the computer. LAMP is Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Linux is the OS. Apache is the web server. MySQL is a good, small SQL database. PHP is a web programming language. You have a full web development environment not having paid anything for the software which is freely available. Just point people at your web server.



One thing to remember is that most ISPs don't allow connections on port 80 (default port for web servers) because of people who have Windows IIS installed but not patched on their PCs. Therefore, configure Apache on a different port and have people connect to your webserver on that port.
