what is a back-link ?
Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. In the search engine optimization (SEO) world, the number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page.
For sure, basic HTML knowledge is enough to make hyperlinks, however, after you've submitted hyperlinks to other sites, you'll need to check whether they still exist (sometimes web-masters remove them in short time after posting) and their do/nofollow status. A good free tool for this is http://Moonsearch.com, which shows any site's backlinks and anchors as well as other popularity data.

The search engines want you to build a valuable site with unique content that other will want to link to. Short of having such an authority site, the best sort of backlink may come from guest articles you submit to high ranking sites with anchor text links to your site, you might do them some sort of favor in order to be invited to write for them. You can get lower quality backlinks without negotiation, such as blog comments, forum profile home page links and post signature links. These are the sort of links that can be generated through automation, these spam robots are a pain for blog and forum operators. Submitting a site to directories and to social bookmarking sits can also provide backlinks that may help search ranking. There are step by step high ranked forum posting guides published monthly by Angela Edwards and Paul something.

Back links are links the link BACK to your site. They are an excellent way of generating better search engine results. The main pitfall to worry about, however, is to not get a back link from a bad neighborhood, like a link farm. Never pay for links, that will get a site deleted out of the index - and Google knows, so don't try to fool her. You might want to take a look at Google's Web Master Tools.

The backlink is essentially the same thing as an inlink. It is a link on someone else’s site that leads to your own, and it’s extremely important to garner a large number of backlinks that are reputably obtained for several reasons. First, in SEO or search engine optimization,
Submit your web site for inclusion in Directory Exchange Online today and reach

hits from active Internet users looking for information and services. A simple
listing in Directory Exchange Online will pay for itself several time over, ROI
