Wordpress pretty urls not working?

Question

Im running windows + plesk, mod_rewrite is enabled in plesk but .htaccess is seemingly ignored and wordpress won't create one like it did on my other host.

Any ideas?

Windows by default does not use htaccess/mod rewrite.



You didn't indicate whether you're using Apache on the windows os which would use htaccess, or a windows server that uses IIS to serve pages and

would not use htaccess but another method of url rewriting. You might want to find out which you're using.

Delete the current .htaccess you have in there. Wordpress installs now with their own htaccess which is poop. Create it on your desktop and upload it and make it writable or set the new rules in wordpress and copy and paste them in and upload it.

no. notwithstanding if it generaly artwork for boys for my section e.g. at artwork if i don't opt to do something i ask the men to do it for they, they normaly say no then i say 'quite please' and that they're immediately in there
