Hello. As you may already know, Nintendo 64 joysticks wear out over time so I got myself the replacement one (gamecube styled joystick) from here:

http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Joystick/dp/B000F7V2GO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340231277&sr=8-1&keywords=nintendo+64+replacement+joystick

Now I do not have much experience in electronics but I really need to reprogram this joystick. It has sensitivity problems as well as issues with its range. This YouTube user here did exactly what I want to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0VO46SWo2M&feature=channel&list=UL

So to my understanding, he programmed an ATtiny24 and wired it into the joystick/controller in order to fix the issues it was having. He publicly posted his code so that makes matters easier. Now I just need to know exactly how to pull of this mod.

He included a guide as a download (PDF) in this video

I can't understand what to do though. Can somebody, anybody please help me out!?
