object oriented programming emphasizes on objects; an object is an identifiable entity with some characteristics(denoted thru data) and associated behaviour (denoted thru functions) whereas structured programming also known as procedural programming emphasizes on procedures and not on the data; (data takes da back seat ) bigger problems are divided into smaller parts.
