Sometimes when I go to certain websites, there are these strange invisible overlays that open a new tab to some random website.
Not like websites like the huffington post or whatever that block the article asking you to sign up, but invisible overlays. There are no graphics, just a single button covering the entire website that's completely transparent.

You can use an extension like Stylish to remove them.

Just set them to "display: none" using their id or class.

You should avoid sites like that. However, you can try some add-ons such as Popup Blocker (Strict), which would give a popup on the top right hand corner asking if you trust the redirect link. https://add0n.com/popup-blocker.html
