im am trying to set up a server and it has windows xp SP2 installed on the computer i have already installed phpmyadmin and mysql but i cant use them tell i get apche and php5 running apche will run just fine when php5 is NOT insatlled but after i installed php5 and configured it for apache 2.2 ill try to restart apache and and it will not start and i ll get the microsoft error report wiindow and it dose it everytime i try but with php5 unistalled it will work fine but i really need everything to work please help me thank you

What errors are you getting? And you can't run phpmyadmin until you have PHP installed. And you have to have PHP installed and configured with Apache before you can do anything with PHP, really.



Since you provided zero details about the problem, there's not much anyone can offer as help.

Test the Apache configuration files before starting, run:



apache -t or httpd -t

according to the exe file comes with your installation.



OR



Uninstall Apache, Mysql and PHP.

Try WAMP server (www.wampserver.com). It s a good solution for all the config headaches,

When installing Apache/PHP on Windows I would suggest using the pre-bundled versions like XAMPP or ApacheTriad, who have done all the hard work for you, because Apache and PHP is already working together, you just install it like any normal software app.
