I am interested in mobile application developement, but i do not know what is the most popular android or multiplatform SDK that companies prefer.
I have medium java skill (java.lang, I/O, sweng, ect.) and have basic borland C skill (Kernighan-Ritchie book). I know that most SDK is using C++ language and I might have to learn that. I developedd a few applications by basic android SDK, but I had not seen too much possibility in them. I would like to developing 2D games or good looking applications, and I will search SDK therefore.

In as far as Android. The google tutorials show project examples using Eclipse IDE with the Android plug-in. You could also add the C++ plug-in to help you with code syntax highlighting. Personally, I prefer NetBeans for my IDE but that community project is still developing an Android setup wizzard to add to NetBeans.

Android and Apple are the biggest mobile platforms at present. For Apple you have to register with Apple to gain access to their tools and appStore.

Android is based on Java, but isn't pure Java. Apple's phones customize with Object-C.
