The best place I have found to make a free website is http://www.webstarts.com/?aff=slferch. I used it to build my website and it was very easy for the do-it-yourselfer. It has everything you need to build and maintain your website including free hosting and a webstarts web address. It also has lots of video tutorials to help you through every step of the way. The free hosting at http://www.freewebhosting.comxa.com/ comes with a script to install wordpress free! (wordpress is great for blogs)

No ads (unless you add your own)



By the way, think carefully before going in together. If it doesn't work out, who gets the website? Why not get a free hosting account each - then you can have your own blogs and pass traffic to each other!
