I cant get any free webpage templates to work
I download and unzip and then upload to my site via ftp or browser- the templates do not show-only text shows up
I'm trying to upload these templates on free subdomains-like bravenet, mysite, freehostia etc
Ive been trying for like a week to figure this out
Thanks

Are you sure you have the right kind of templates for your site? Are they installed properly? Are you uploading them properly? Maybe they need to be ASCII?

Unless the templates are html files, your web host may not be running the proper software to render the files. (.asp and .php files require specific software to be installed on the server in order to work.) Also, the files have to be in directories with the correct names. Just uploading them all to your root directory may not work.

I would suggest showing the website in question but right off the bat it sounds like you probably do not have the file structure correct. Most likely it is trying to link to images and stylesheets (which will make it look correct) but they aren't in the spot it's expecting them to be.

Did you put the .css files and the .jpg/.gif files in the right folders as instructed?
