Im just starting to learn PHP and SQL.. I am using a 64 bit Windows 7.. What do i need to install on my computer to test PHP and SQL. Apache? MySQL? PHP? DO i need everything and is there anything else?

This installs the Web server, php and mysql, along with a lot of extra software as a fully configured commercially viable web site. It eliminates the need to manually install components and then configure them individually to run together. That is all you need, apart from your usual text editing program. NOT a word processor. This can run background on your machine and is identical to most of the web servers actually in use on the Internet.

you need to install Apache and PHP and MYSQL/PGSQL whichever you perfer I suggest MySQL it a lot faster than PGSQL transactions. PGSQL is like Oracle in some ways.

You just need to install XAMPP. It comes with a mysql database with phpmyadmin
