Question:
How do I reduce a PDF file? Illustrator to PDF.. it's too big to email!?

I designed my resume in Illustrator for a design position. However, I cannot email my resume because it is too large.

I saved the file as a PDF in Illustrator.
Then I opened in Acrobat Pro and selected "reduce file size".
This brought the file from 788kb to 188kb.

But I can't email anything over 100kb.

In Acrobat Pro I tried the "Print. Color Sync." But the quartz filter options are greyed out/not clickable. Also, it says "preview not supported" if I try to save as a pdf that way.

I'm so frustrated! I have another version of my resume at 48kb.. but the text is slightly different. And I can't remember how I got it so small!

Please help.

Open the pdf file in Adobe Acrobat reader and save it in jepg format. The file size reduces.

Open corel Draw 1st try importing the file...import as curves....save file as PDF u'll get the options below the toolbox of save file as option...reduce the %...there's an option to save for e-mails...use that..it has default settings but ur file size will be reduced a lot...try other options if u want it to be reduced more...Cheers !!
