My friend said that he got a job from a web developer bootcamp, and said basically the idea is that its better than getting a computer science degree (even though the degree looks better), because only 10-20 percent of a computer science degree can be used in industry, so the course incorporates that useful 10 and 20 percent into its curriculum. But for me this begs the question, computer scientists are involved in programming robots and such, can a web developer have the skills to do these tasks as well, or is a web developer basically a better version of a plain old web designer. Can a web developer compete with computer scientist in industry. What is the main difference here?
