Hi

I am trying to install a plug-in called tidy up (it cleans code) but according to the plug-in webpage I have to give it some permissions, here is what it says.

Give tidy.linux, tidy.osx, tidy.exe, or tidy.freebsd execute permissions for the web server (generally means giving ‘x’ permission to group/other)

How can I do this please?

Thanks for your help

Try installing the program as administrator, (right click and choose that option)

You maybe wants to run under sudo. But assuming you as a users have RW access to those same files then all I can think is that there is a file there that has other rights and is stopping it.

So the fix is sudo, but be carefull where and how you run it, if you let it run through your entire tree, the public and private areas, which will include your email and utils area, then it could do damage.
