How do I get the text to line up?

I'm just starting to learn HTML. How do I get the bullet point to indent while getting the text to line up? What is the html code? For example:

What it does now:
JOB DUTIES:
• Perform shop and field repair, maintenance, overhaul, warranty, and replacement for marine engines, generators, transmissions, and related components for recreational and commercial users throughout our service territory. Service van provided.

What I want it to look like:
(Ignore the dashes, I needed to use those to get the text to line up correctly.)

You don't mention whether you are using hard coding ( direct HTML Hypertext markup language) or a drag and drop editor like Front page or similar.

Most editors allow you to determine the gap after the bullet point in wherever you select the bullet point from There is an editing facility to alter it to suit your requirements. Check in the HELP section of the editor under bulllets.. spacing.. indenting.

not easy to do. by default all browsers (IE) ignor spaces, so no matter how many spaces u put in, it will delete them. Also the browser can be re-sized, so this will throw out ur alignment.



what u need to do is create a table () then create two more tables within that table. Use the left table for the bullet and the right table for the text. here is the shell of what u need.
