Woah...slow down! Wordpress is not simply a few web pages but an entire script. It would take you forever to copy it in such a way as you describe.

What you need to do is a back up of the site, which is far easier depending how it's hosted.

If you've installed wordpress on a cpanel hosting account, log in to cpanel and select the back up option, then do a full back up, Once it's completed, you'll be able to down load the entire site as a zipped file and it will also include the mysql database.

If you're on any other type of hosting account, check in your control panel how to do a back up.

If unsure, simply log into your file manager, select all files and folders then choose the 'compress' option. You'll then still have your files on the server and a copy in a zip, but you'll still need to back up the database. Log into php Myadmin and select your wordpress database then select the 'export' option.

If your wordpress site is not hosted with a company that allows you access to your files, then you need to contact them and ask for a back up.

Edit and add details of how your site is hosted if you're still stuck.

Edit: Once you've downloaded the site, in order to edit it you will need to install xampp on your pc and extract the site to your public_html or htdocs folder. As wordpress uses a variety of coding languages you won't be able to view your site from your pc without a webserver programme such as xampp.

Web pages typically consist of graphics and text written in HTML. Web pages may also use other scripted languages such as Java, JavaScript, Common Gateway Interface (CGI), and Visual Basic script.

Internet Explorer can display the HTML source code for Web pages, but it cannot display encrypted scripts or compiled modules such as ActiveX Controls. Internet Explorer also cannot display the source code for an Active Server Page (ASP). An example of an ASP page is: http://www.microsoft.com/default.asp.

To view the HTML source code for a Web page using Internet Explorer 3.x and later, click Source on the View menu. To view the HTML source code for a Web page using Internet Explorer 2.x, right-click the Web page, and then click View Source. You can then use that code to put on your own Website.

Many Web pages use frames to display several Web pages on the same screen. To view the HTML source code for a Web page that contains frames, right- click the Web page in a frame, and then click View Source. This SHOULD work the same way but it doesn't always turn out that way.

Clone an internet site with the comparable nicely suited layout is incorrect and unprofessional. yet as for the search engine optimization it purely will turn undesirable if it is all reproduction content fabric, which will thoroughly kill your website. Clone and alter layout and upload unique content fabric and you're stable to bypass.
