Make a navigation bar in html automatically the width of the page?

Question

Hello, I am working on a webpage for my grandfather's charity. Everything has been going fine. Except one thing: I can't get the width of the

bar to automatically become the width of the page. I use a dual monitor setup(15" MacBook Pro 1440x900 and a 23" Acer 1920x1080).

set the width of your nav bar to "width: 100%;" instead of a pixel value. At 100%, it will take up all the width of the parent container (if none, then the page).

While Warren is technically correct, I would encourage centering the navigation through "align:auto"

and then you can adjust the width to less than 100% if you choose.
