set the width of your nav bar to "width: 100%;" instead of a pixel value. At 100%, it will take up all the width of the parent container (if none, then the page).

While Warren is technically correct, I would encourage centering the navigation through "align:auto"

and then you can adjust the width to less than 100% if you choose.
