I had downloaded the express edition and when installing it asked me if i would Leke to get SQL and silverlight too. and so I agreed...now it's installed V C# i mean but the SQL and Silverlight haven't come...the minimal files are in the C disk drive ( main one with all programmes installed) but I cant find the setup file for the SQL and Silverlight...how do I install it?
I wentthrough the Start Menu and found
> All Programs
> Microsoft SQL Server 2008
>Configuration Tools
> SQL Server Installation Center.

When I go to the Installation link...it gives me an option to either install by a new SQL Server stand alone installation
or a Failover cluster Installation...first off....what does it mean? And when I click them...it says that I should browse for the installation Media file...but I dnt know what that is or what to do?? please help!!!!

i think it mean to enter the CD of MS SQL Server 2008

look you have to uninstall everything and try downloading the file again

from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/express/sql/download/

but what silverlight you are talking about if you want it you could get it from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx

MYSQL and SQL Server are completely different database programs. You should figure out which one you actually have. In either case though, you can use them at home to gain experience.
