I am working from a video tutorial and I am using the operating system Windows XP. I am trying to use the command prompt feature in the tutorial and the tutorial is using Windows Vista.
In command prompt there is a difference from the first line in command prompt from the two operating systems.
In my version of windows the first line in command prompt displays as follows:
C:\Documents and Settings\Larry>
In Vista the first line appears as follows:
C:\User\Larry
When using command prompt I have the first line that appears by default:
C"\Documents and Settings\Larry>
From there I add the following cd\
Which makes the line look like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Larry>cd \
Then hit enter and type in the next line:
C:\cd cs
Then hit the Tab key. From there all of my information should come up there in command prompt. Nothing happens.
Is there someway in the operating system that I am using in command prompt that will give me the same results as the example in that is used in windows vista?
Lastly for me to get the same line command prompt as I would like to have in vista I would need to reload the whole operating system on to my computer all again.
Is there someway to work through this?
