I'm worried about the design. I am making one on microsoft frontpage and I need to make it look better. I don't really want a template because then I'm limited on what I can do. I just want a way to make it look better. I have no problems with html codes. I preffer it actually. Even Javascript or CSS. But if you don't have anything like that, PLEASE DO NOT HOLD YOUR ANSWER! I am open to all answers! Please help me!

Don't be afraid to post a link so we can critique it. Best way to learn.

Edit: You should post this question again. By the time you added the URL everyone had finished answering!

I'd recommend starting with some sort of menu system.

Look at yahoo's menu up top.

Ask. Answer. Discover.

Simple, stylish, usable.

Find some sort of program that will help you with a menu design.

Working with frames or treeing pages is a lot easier with Frontpage or Dreamweaver, etc.

Have you designed anything yet?

We'd like to see it.

Post your url.

Good luck.

Pay for hosting..

I used free hosting for a while but came to realize that it is free for a reason. They make their money off pop ups and advertising.

If this is just a page for you then free is good... Other wise why go free when you can own your own domain name and have it hosted for 1 dollar a month.

I use the 3 dollar package because it gives you the online web builder.

And if you pay for hosting you can get freebies that they offer.

Message boards, Blogs, Private pages and you do not have to know how to program.

This is the site that I use BUT if you can find something less expensive let me know.

Well first of all, can you post the link so we can see the site?

You can get some better feedback if you do. Also have you considered using dreamweaver? There are alot of tutorials on how to do stuff with that. I got a few on my site.

You won't be able to make it look better using a WYSIWYG editor, especially FrontPage , you need to do the code by hand for maximum control.

try to make some various designs in photoshop and just transfer it to frontpage. it works best because its you who designed it and not just a template. i hope this helps.

Maybe if you give us a preview or a sample look at the site we could tell ways to improve it
?

Well, its kind of hard to say anything cause you aren't really asking anything. (Or showing anything to comment on)

Do you want idea's on design styles??
