I'm majoring in computer science and have learned both. They're very similar in some ways, and very diffrent in others. I think that it is easier going from a knowledge of C++ to a knowledge of Java, instead of the reverse.

I would agree with you about C++, but in my opinion I would think that Java is the better programming language to use. C++ is generally a difficult language to master and learn. also in my opinion, Java is a language that is more demanding in the business world, simply because it is better supported and there are more programmers experienced in the language.

This is all my opinion however, I am not really providing an absolute answer, because everyone has their opinion of a favorite language. For example, mine is C#, but I am starting to like Java, and i still understand that Java in more demanding in the business world than C#.

Hope this helps.

C++ is preferred more for software development, Java is preferred for internal enterprise software. You really should know both though since both are used quite frequently in the software development field.

There is kid game or whatever. It is call ROBLOX. I don't know if you like scripting or such but Lua is their main script or language. Maybe you can try that?
