I am trying to place a table from Word into InDesign, but the row height won't transfer properly. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have set the row height as .3 in the Word table, but when I paste it into Indesign it is quite a lot higher. Everything else is transferring over correctly, so what am I doing wrong with the row height?

Have you mixed up your units, i.e. inches/centimeters?

Isn't it more trouble to try and find out what happened instead of simply setting the row height to the desired value in InDesign?
I'm not surprised at all that a table didn't transfer 100% intact from friggin Word to InDesign.

you probably have some text in some cell thats causing indesign to expand the row height. if you go back to excel and mark that row as auto height you might be able to see which text is overfilling the cell as it will probably grow in height. or to put it another way, indesign is auto fitting the cells and ignoring your settings.
