How do I make my own cursor trail?

I have a tumblr (yes I know, it's lame and narcissistic but I like sharing pictures and music. shut up.) and I'm trying to figure out how to design a cursor trail which I can use on that particular website. I DON'T WANT A CODE FOR ONE THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE. Thanks though. I would make it pretty simple (or at least I'm under the impression what I want would be simple), like the same cursor that is a default on macs, with tiny plus signs (+) trailing behind it and eventually fading. Basically, exactly like the one on this website looks when scrolling over the top banner: http://neonindian.com/main.php

I need a computer genius. Somebody help teach me how to make my own cursor, PLZZ. I want it to look as much like the cursor on that site as possible. And I realize this will require HTML coding and ****, but I'm willing to learn and take time to do this. It doesn't have so much to do with the fact that I want my tumblr to be beautiful, but moreso that I like to learn to do this kind of thing. ANYBODY KNOW HOW/WHAT PROGRAMS I WILL NEED TO MAKE MY OWN CURSOR? If you don't have a legit answer, don't even try.

Hopefully if using an external infrared mouse, you are using a mousepad! If you are not, use one and it will stop jumping around. What Brand of Computer is It? HP, DELL, MAC, TOSHIBA??
