I downloaded Blender and then
I downloaded python 2.6.5 windows installer(does not include source code)
But when I open blender it says "Checking for installed python...No installed python found." etc
continuing happily.
I need python to import certain 3d file types

also, does anyone knows of a free program that allows you to import and animate different file types

Open the top of the blender.

Hold Python.

Slowly lower Python into the blender.

Replace cap.

Turn on.

Sorry, I had to say something.

In the window that comes up before Blender launches it will say what version of Python you need.

in case you have the latest version of Blender, the latest version of Python won't artwork. you need to ascertain to work out which version Blender desires to renowned Python and obtain that version. the latest one is unlike minded. the latest good version of Blender is version 2.49b. you need to use Python 2.6.6 for Blender to renowned it.
