First choose C, C++, C# these languages are used for creating computer programs these are good and easy for the beginners. If you want to create web plugins and mobile apps so learn Java and javascript. Then try python it is also easy for the beginners. Then learn PHP it is used for web programming and then try the other languages. Hope my answer is helpful

Anyone who thinks that their favorite language is the only language is best to stay away from beginners and stop trying to answer these types of questions. The VERY best language for you to use is whatever language you have a real live person to share resources with and a meaningful task to use it on.

Python is a really powerful but slow language and you can get away with errors in Python. So I'd recommend learning C first, or Java. These are really good languages to start and you can build your way up by doing cool stuff eventually. :) Happy hacking.

I think the best way to start is to begin learning about the web. So i'd say learn markup languages like HTML, CSS and then web based programming languages like JavaScript. Once you're able to make a good enough web page then dip your toes into complex coding and mess around with C & C++.

Scratch (user interface :D) can get you an impression about what programming really is about. Then you can learn whatever you want, it's just like a language. First you need to learn how to speak, then you can learn what to speak, if you get what I mean

If you want to start your career from a web designer, then I suggest you start learning from HTML and CSS. After that you can focus on the PHP, for web development it is an easy language.

and then learn about which languages are used where. All are written for their purpose, ..

learn HTML & CSS before learning to code

Then learn javascript; it's fun and no need for compilers etc.

Then learn Java OO (download netbeans-it's free)

Hello! Personally, I'd start with LUA to get a taste with the coding language. But, if you really want to get into it, I would go for Python or C++

C first. Learning C will get you easily onto C++ where you can start doing Object-oriented programming. Or, start with C, then learn Java.
