I want to post joomla using XAMPP but when i type localhost / joomla the error shown in the picture.

I don't know what's wrong but who can program in php help me.

Thank you very much for your help, the problem has been solved.

The problem was that I installed an older version of joomla.

you must have missed a step.

maybe you should check you have followed all the installation steps. this may be different for each joomla version. there are lots of example tutorials i have included just one of them below

That's a really old version of Joomla, from 2008 apparently. The error is caused by random SQL text that has been inserted near the start of the file. It should start with the comment block you can see further down.



Re-download Joomla from the official page. I don't even want to know where you got that obsolete version from.

Hmmm, looks like a DB access error. What database are you using? Is it set up correctly? Have you got the credentials set up correctly in Joomla to access it?
