What is Javascript...?

Hi people...
this is for the techy guys...
I want to know what is Javascript, what is script/scripting language, difference between Javascript nd VB script, importance of it, and its interactivity advantages in HTML implementation...
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

javascript is a scripting langauage, It will execute in browsers.

Mainly used to create rich user interation say client side validation & AJAX implementation.



Using with HTML , the user will get more dynamic experience
