Without having to use parental blockers, how do I disable access to a website from my home PC? This particular site happens to have an audio/visual chatroom and I want access to the entire site to be denied when attempting to log on. Any help would be great, thanks!

Assuming you have Windows XP here is one solution. Edit C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts using Notepad. Add an entry for your site such as...

127.0.0.1 www.yoursitehere.com

That will effectively block the entire site on that computer.

easy fix. right click on the Internet explorer icon. go to properties then click on security tab then click on the restricted sites icon and then click on sites and add all the sites you want restricted. Its kinda like parental control but just blocks the sites you want blocked and it wont block all the other sites that might be restricted by parental control. If your using firefox then the steps are just about the same except you would open up firefox and then go to internet options.

Go with what emmitt wrote. Its not fool proof, but its obscure enought that most people don't know about it.
