Its easy... but hard to explain it all, but i'll do my best:

1- Launch Microsoft Office PowerPoint

2- You can leave the background white but this is only if you are going to print the presentation, to change your background

- Right click on the slide background -> choose "Background"

- Click on the arrow beside the rectangle at the bottom

- You'll have three options, Colors, More Colors, or Fill Effects

if you choose "Fill Effects"

- then you'll have many options "Gradient", "Texture", "Pattern" or "Picture" so you can choose your preferable

Or from the beginning you can choose one of the Designs pre-made or templates by Microsoft instead of changing and making your own desired background

3- You can change the "Font Style", "Size", and "Colors" on the Slide as desired the same as you do in Microsoft Office Word

4- You can Add Pictures, ClipArts to the PPT slide as desired the same as you do using Microsoft Office Word

5- You can Change the PowerPoint Slide Layouts if in PowerPoint 2007 from "Home" choose "Layout" and choose the desired layout, if you are using PowerPoint 2003 then at your right hand side the "Task Pane" you choose "Slide Layout" and then choose the desired layout

6- Then you'll use "Slide Transitions", Choose "Slide Show" -> "Slide Transition" from the menu, the "Slide Transition" task pane opens to your right hand side of the screen

Scroll through the list of the transition styles, Make sure theAuto-Previeww Option at the bottom of the Slide Transition task pane is checked, when you click on a style, the transition will preview in the slide Window, Choose a speed of the transition, and it is optional to select a sound that will activate when the slide changes

7- Now you can choose the Animation desired for each text box in every slide... by right click on the Text Box -> choose "Custom Animation" the "Animation" will appear on the task pane at your hand side of the screen, click "Add Effect" -> "Entrance" -> then choose any desired animation.

This is the basic steps to start and make a presentation, if there is anything else you need to do with your presentation, please don’t hesitate to post it and we can help you with it.. I hope that this could be useful for you…

On your computer, if you click on the START symbol in the left hand corner, click on all programs on the bottom when it pops up. One of the tabs should say Microsoft Office, and roll over that. There is a list that will pop out. You should be able to find a tab that says Microsoft Office Powerpoint. Click on that and it will bring up a new power point. From there, you can create a powerpoint by writing in the slides and adding new slides.

If I comprehend what you're asserting....once you run PowerPoint, a presentation starts off right away and you prefer that to stop and basically run PowerPoint "generally" - nicely suited??? If that's so, then there would desire to have been a startup swap set on your PowerPoint software report. working example,if the /S swap is used, the named report opens in slide instruct mode right away - working example: "C:software FilesMicrosoft OfficeOFFICE11POWERPNT.EXE" /S "C:documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsneon.ppt" With this in the objective container on the Shortcut tab in the shortcut icon's homes, the "neon.ppt" report might open right away in slide instruct mode when I double-click the icon. backside line, i assume, is to income the shortcut you're using to run PowerPoint and confirm there are no switches after the POWERPNT.EXE.
