Purchase 9.Billing 10.Administrator. As you think it is basically a database with administrative and user privilages and the purpose is to smoothen the work flow, perfomace appraisal of the workers, increase productivity etc.
Eg. Client give a book to print to job intending dept. details entered in pc.Prodn. Planning divides the work to other sections. The progress could be observed and finally to despatch and billing. Which programming languages should be used for the purpose?

While some jobs are suited for specific jobs, this sounds like it would do well as either an installed application on individual PCs, which would require VB, OR as an intranet application which could be programmed in literally ANY of the languages the web uses - like ASP, PHP, Cold Fusion.

What would I recommend? There are a lot more developers out there schooled in typical web languages, and you could get them to develop for less of a price.

If I had to pick I would use PHP with a MySQL database, and set it up as an intranet application. You wouldn't notice the difference between running this application and running any other app on your computer, but you would immediately have the benefit of being able to access the system from outside machines SHOULD YOU NEED TO.

Best of luck
