I am trying to upload my website to the server. I am under the remote info section. I selcted FTP, entered my host adress, left the host directory blank, and entered my login and password to the host. I clicked test and it said it cant find the host. I called the host service and they verified I entered evrything correctly and the site was working right. I don't know what to do. Do you have any suggestions???? Thanks!!!!!!!!

You could check to see if Dreamweaver/FTP is allowed through your firewall. Or try the same thing with FileZilla, just to see if you can use ftp with that.

You can get this error a few ways:

- your host root directory does not exist: log to your host using another FTP client and look for a valid folder. I would recommend typing "/" as a minimal root directory.

- you're behind a firewall: try the "passive FTP" or "firewall" settings when connecting.

Good luck!

- Maybe you forgot something?

- Is there a possibilities that I can check your work?

- Or maybe you're just tired and frustrated.

- Try to look at it again tomorrow!
