At school a windows xp computer that has a batch file loop on it.
I more of an advanced user with computers nad command prompt but i dont know why it wont stop.
First i log on and is really slow. trying to load Command prompt.
Then it will start looping command prompt saying the code

c:\documents and settings\all users> start iexplorer.bat "iexplorer.bat"
C:\documents and settings\all users>goto s

i tried control + break but most of the time it just keeps spamming and locks up, but when it does work, when i log back on it start it up again.
i asked the teacher and she will let me system restore it but i dont want to delete the persons essay on the computer.
Cheers

It sounds like someone has replace the shortcut to command prompt with a short cut to run a batch file called iexplorer.bat.

1) Use windows explorer to find the batch file and delete it.

2) Select the short cut for the command prompt and right click to get at it's properties. Change the properties so the target is %SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe

Reason you can't break in is it because it is processing too fast.

Have you messed with the Pagefile? You may have memory problems, and your hard drive may have failed. Try booting into Safe Mode. If it does not work, that partition may have been corrupted, the system files contained it in may have been lost, misplaced, or corrupted. That hard drive partition is corrupted. Not all hope is lost, do you have another Hard Disk Drive? Try installing another hard disk drive into your Processor and try booting up. Make sure the system files are in the drive. Or you may have plugged and connected your Hard Drives wrongly. Correct the Architecture. Also make sure during the BIOS screen, press "F11" or other keys according to your BIOS and select your boot device. Choose the one that contains Windows. Take the old hard disk drive to a computer store for maintenance to check if it has failed. IF everything fails, in the event that you do have a Restore CD, insert it and reinstall Windows.

You can hit

Windows Key+R

then type

cmd.exe

to get to the command prompt without the problem.
