How to get oracle certification in india?

I need to get the oracle certification but i don't know which version of oracle is in the latest use. some of my friends say that oracle 9i certification is better to do. some says 11g is better and from where i can get the guidance regarding the study material and other things. How do i get started with oracle as i am having no knowledge regarding this field. Please help me.

U can check oracle website.. It gives complete details abt it..

Fees of the exam will be around 8000-9000 Rs..

You can register it online and choose exam location which is nearest to ur home..Some materials u can get from oracle site itself.. U can google and find lots of good resources..

I missed ur last line.. If you don''t have any knowledge in oracle then u will need to learn it first.. You can either join some courses or install it in ur pc and learn it urself(if u are familiar with databases).. Don't attempt the exam unless u are fully prepared otherwise it will be waste of money..
