I am trying to make pics scanned into my computer from TIF into JPG? I know it is possiable, because I emailed the same pics to friends and they were able to put them on my space and photobucket, which won't take TIF files however I can not figure it out. How can I make these TIF pictures into JPG so I can post them like on my space or sites that do not accept TIF pictures. Please help.. IT is driving me crazyy...

Does your scanner software allow you to save files in different formats? If your software has an "options" or "preferences", see it you can change the format to JPG there.

There are several programs for editing pictures that can read and save in multiple formats. Try Adobe Photoshop. Read the picture in as a TIF, then under the file menu, click on "Save as". Be sure to specify that you want to save the file as a JPG.

Open the TIF file in MS Paint (Under accessories in your program menu), and then go to File - Save As, and save the file with a file type of JPEG (File type being an option on the bottom part of the box after you hit "save as").

Just about any paint program will convert them... just click on file then save as and click on .jpg
