Why am i having a Microsoft JScript compilation error everytime i open my internet browser?

It reads:

No Idea why, but I tried the following and removed it

Go to Internet Explorer --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Programs --> Manage Add Ons and look for the 'Java plug in 2 SSV' entry. Disable this add on and then enable it again. Then close the browser and open it again. The error disappears.

Hope it works for you too. (before this i updated to latest java version 6 update 24 as well)

Try Firefox. I have always used Internet Explorer until recently and Firefox works much better for me.
