Lately i have been making some very nice animations in flash that i am extremely pleased with, but whenever i want to share it with someone i come a the same problem...exporting
I do not know what i am supposed to export my clips as
The choices are few-
swf movie
avi file
mov file
animated GIF
audoi file
and GIF/JPEG/PNG sequences

I have noticed that avi files dont capture my movie clips, and animated GIFs are terrible quality with no sound
The best i found was .mov, but the audio sync is terrible and waay off!

Please tell me the nicest way to export a flash file so i can post it on youtube or work with it in either sony vegas or windows movie maker!
Thanks!

Maybe you can use a professional swf to video converter to convert your flash file to MP4 or FLV for uploading to YouTube, here is one:

Hope this helps.

Well, then i think this swf to video converter pro( http://www.swfkits.com/swf_to_video/ ) is perfectly made for you. Basically, you can choose to export swf files(including the swf with extremely-low frame rate) to three categories: popular video&audio(all the formats you mentioned above are inclusive), avi with alpha channel(for professional video editors), and image(JPG, animated gif, etc.) Besides, there are two exclusive technologies to guarantee a high-quality output: Lower-Playback-Speed and advanced output profile settings. Hope you will find it useful.

If your animation is swf file, you can try this tool to convert your swf animations to avi, mov, gif, or jpeg sequences.

Well if the native exporting isn't any good, maybe you could try to play it normally and use a screen capturing software to record it and save it as avi (or w/e).
