I'm wanting to start a business, down the road, focusing on computer software. Maybe some Internet sites like a social networking site, or a search engine, maybe iPhone apps, mapping programs, 3D rendering software (Just for some examples). So I'm wondering: Which programming language should I learn first? Should I learn C before C++? Is it OK for C++ to be your first language? Should I learn Java? Perl? Thank you for your help. It's greatly appreciated.

And on a side note: Will trying to learn multiple languages at once be difficult? Or are they so different that trying to do so WON'T stumble me? Keep in mind, I don't really have any programming (As far as bare bones coding goes) history.

Thanks again!

I would start with C++ since it can be used in every idea you mentioned. It is best to learn 1 language at a time in my opinion. Picking up your 2nd, 3rd, or 9th is easier once you have a firm understanding of how 1 works.

He probably seeking to say that you just must be trained programming strategies and common sense, as a substitute than languages. This rather is main, too. For illustration, being capable to keep a talk in 15 human languages doesn't suggest you'll be able to write an tremendous paintings of literature in any of them; and a rather good written application is similar to a rather good written guide, in that it demands to have many constituents that are compatible in combination in non-seen however mighty methods.

Learn C, as its the basic language to be understood after BASIC, then go to C++, then HTML, then JAVA, then others like JAVA script. It is to be noted C++, JAVA etc are object oriented language that are to be learnt after Structural languages which use interpreters eg BASIC. while BASIC is very simple but is helpful to understand programming basics. C is a High level language that is the strongest of all languages and has cross platform functionalities of Low Level language and High Level language. C language can be easy when you are starting and can be very difficult at higher levels. I personally think C is the best language to start with.

For C learning go to http://c-program.webs.com/. I think it will help.
