How would you find it if you could do that?
If it doesn't have a name, it wouldn't exist, as far as the computer is concerned.

Not Possible. How would you find a chapter in a book with out name or page no from index? similarly without name the folder can not be found from FAT ( File allocation Table) which operating system access when it needs to find a file or folder. FAT keeps records of the files/ folder on the computer by keeping track of sectors on which this files lies in hard disk. This is bit technical, I hope you follow. Other ways as mentioned can be used to hide a file or folder. Using ALT+255 char. does not solve yr query as it gives hidden character as name, but it does give a name. I dont know what yr upto but you can hide folder if you dont want to show it to any one as mentioned in upper replies. Also you can go to Dos mode and use attrib command to super hide it if you want. Or simply there are many software available to hide yr folders with various security options.

To rename the folder with blank spaces, just press Alt + 255 and hit Enter.
Then you are successfully creating a folder without name in Windows XP
