How can I start Learning PERL Scripting in my home?

Hi friends,I want to learn perl scripting at my home.I do not have any idea on how to start learning perl.
So could you please guide me or help me in learning perl from the beginning.

Once you get the Perl distribution installed on your computer (it's free, see the link below), I think the very best way to learn Perl is to get a copy of "Learning Perl" from O'Reilly Press. It's also affectionately called "The Llama Book" because of the cover illustration.



It's well and clearly written, and even kind of entertaining -- by the time you get to the end of it you'll have a decent foundation in Perl basics, be able to write good Perl scripts, and you'll know how to get more information as you need it.



I love this book. Get it, get it. There are also more resources for learning on the perl.org site.

My windows guy learned perl on the job. You probably want to install Active Perl.

There are a million tutorials, but besides some pathing, very similar to standard Unix Perl.

i used both operating system to learn perl in windows i used active perl and in linux i used normal perl package i learned them by viewing examples on net and reading few books as a soft copy the important of them all is beginning perl ebook

I've found that I like a web site called www.lynda.com. they have some great PERL tutorials there. It is a subscription service but It's fully worth it.

for each little thing first u could be conscious of c programming language (no longer a diificult) so as that u can get a top level view on pgming languages after u be conscious of c u can learn java ,,that must be greater useful (java doesnt have an end only learn as much as u can) dats adequate for u to construct equipment purposes if u choose to advance information superhighway purposes u can learn a million)html,2)javascript,3)xml,4)Hypertext Preprocessor now u can get an entire view on all programming
