So I've made some birthday invites using microsoft word. Finished product looks and prints great but as there are so many I'm sending it to get printed professionally. The printers need the docx file to be converted either to pdf or jpg format. I have used countless online converters (trying both formats) and every time it changes my font (the font I'm using is downloaded, not an original microsoft one).. Can anyone help? I'm obviously doing something wrong, but have no idea what.. Thanks :)

embed the font IN the document a substitute will be used if the font is not available to pdf converters, try open office or libre office which will publish pdf versions internally using the available fonts

I have experienced that also, using online converters from .docx to pdf

But there is an online converter which does not change the font of the document while converting it into pdf

Tried and tested, I'm also doing a project for my uncle...

I convert .docx to .pdf, and the fonts are still the same.

Ehm..

To get for free LibreOffice you can just click here http://bitly.com/1p6S3b9

It is a complete mangment package that can be a great alternative to Microsoft Office, it has the same functions but it's much faster!

Copy and paste it into libre office or google docs(both free). They both have seamless pdf conversion options. Ive done it a few times myself using, google docs, w/ word docs and didnt have any problems w/ font issues afterwards. GL
