So I built this site with linux and tested in firefox and chrome and opera. People tell me it is messed up in internet explorer. I haven't been able to get IE properly installed under wine for some reason.

I have installed a Virual-Box version of widows but it is running IE 7 and when I load my site it get about 90% loaded and then IE says it cannot load this page and then goes to the page that looks like you are not connected to the internet. I have not been able to update windows or IE because of the genuine advantage check. It is a borrowed copy of windows for testing purposes only and cannot be updated.

Anyway If you could take a look at my site in Internet Explorer:

Tell me what looks wrong, if anything, also let me know if it looks OK and loads OK in your version of IE.
Tell me which version of IE you are using, What operating system, Screen Resolution, If there is any difference when adding www to the URL, any other data that may help me figure out why it looks funny to some but not to others
Take a screenshot if you can.
Any other odd behaviors.
If you are a web designer, Give me some tips on what I can do about this.

I would appreciate any other help advice or constructive criticism you have about the way this website looks and functions.

Thanks so much for taking your time to help me!

Again the website is :

You might want to fix some of the validation errors and check again. The other issue is that you are using XHTML Transitional. XHTML should be served as application xml/text-html not as text/html, but IE cannot render properly served XHTML, so what you are actually giving it tag soup. You would do better to just use HTML Strict. Transitional is for older documents that are transitioning - strict should be used for new documents.
