Okay, I plan on making my first website. I'm starting pretty big(risky, I know). I want it to be like one big book, where the viewers can flip through the pages by clicking on the pae corners
(like this: http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/Alloy/ click on the bottom right corners of the pages)
My website wil have pages of information. It will be like a book, where they flip through the pages in a chapter.

I am a beginner in HTML. (I'm still learning things like inserting anchors) How difficult would this be to make?? Is there a program(I can't afford Dreamweaver!!!) that will make this for me?
Thanks in advance!!

If you have the time, I suggest investing time in learning something like LaTeX. It's the standard in the science/engineering fields for typesetting books and academic materials, especially since it's very powerful for expressing mathematical formulas.

You'd write your book and mark the sections/subsections/paragraphs/etc. simply by selecting the text and indicating what it is. Then, various templates can be used to actually export the book, with an automatically built table of contents. PDF is the main export choice, but HTML exporters for LaTeX exist.

Although centered on Linux, LyX is also available for Windows and does a fine job of being easy to use without making you get down and dirty with the actual LaTeX code; http://www.lyx.org/

Flash is the application you'll need for the page-turning effect. The good news is that you won't necessarily need to learn Flash or purchase it... there are some Flash-based applications that can do that effect for your own HTML pages, with some configuration commands. Search on Google for Flash page-turning applications, or look for a Flash-based template that uses that effect, and you'll be good to go.

Flash is a program that will do something like that.

Two problems:

1) Flash is not for beginngers like yourself.

2) Flash is a rather expensive program.

Your example was created with Flash. =)

It works differently from HTML, which Dreamweaver makes.

Hi, I've written about 15 eBooks - one has been published and is available on Amazon ( http://tinyurl.com/2o9tlz ).

Here is an article that explains how to write and sell an eBook on the internet. You don't have to know HTML.

Good luck!
