grub / ubuntu question?
i have two hdds and my bios has a boot selector, so i want to get grub off my pc so i can just select the hdd with ubuntu and have it boot right into it. is there anyway i can do this??? ALSO if there iz how do i get grub off. also i want it to just boot to win when ii select my win hdd.

well, if you got rid of grub then how would you boot ubuntu? you need a boot loader to load the kernel. if you absolutely want to get rid of it then sudo apt-get remove grub. a better way would be to edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and remove the windows option, then set timeout to 0 (add "timeout 0" without quotes to the top of menu.lst) so it boots straight into your first menu entry.

Yes, there is absolutely a way to do this, but I don't remember.
